Day 1 Airport-Tirana
Our representative meets you at Tirana International Airport. Transfer to the hotel.
Sightseeing in Tirana with the most important sights of the Albanian capital, like the Et’hem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower, the National Museum and the Skanderbeg Square.

Day 2 Tirana-Krujë-Durrës
Transfer to the former Albanian capital and national hero Skanderbeg stronghold Krujë, where we visit the fortress, the Skanderbeg Museum and the Ethnographic Museum.
Spend some free time strolling around the famous bazaar – an excellent place to buy souvenirs. For lunch, we recommend the Hotel Panorama restaurant.
After lunch, we drive to Durrës and visit the ancient city walls, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Venetian Citadel.

Day 3 Durrës-Vlorë
Visit to the Archaeological Site of Apollonia. Founded in 558 B.C. by settlers from Corfu and Corinth, Apollonia was an important port along the route between Rome and Byzantium.
We continue to Vlorë and see the Museum of Independence and the Muradie Mosque.

Day 4 Vlorë-Himara
This morning we drive along the coastal mountain road of the Albanian Riviera through the Llogora Pass, enjoying stunning views of the Ionian coastline.
We discover the Ali Pasha Castle at Porto Palermo bay and other highlights of the Albanian coastal beauty.

Day 5 Himara-Butrint-Saranda
Transfer from Himara to the Greek and Roman ruins of Butrint – Albania’s most important archaeological site.
This rediscovered city is a microcosm of almost 3,000 years of Mediterranean history. Its 6th century BC fortification evokes the city’s military power, and the amphitheatre symbolises the rich culture of this once thriving ancient city.

Day 6 Saranda-Gjirokastra
Morning departure for Gjirokastra, stopping en route at the Blue Eye spring, the primary source of the Bistrica river.
Sightseeing in the Ottoman city Gjirokastra, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Gjirokastra is also known as the birthplace of former Communist dictator Enver Hoxha.
The city is strikingly picturesque, perched on the side of a mountain above the river Drin.
The city tour includes the building where Enver Hoxha was born, the fortress overlooking the city, a former prison for political detainees, and Zekate House, which gives you a glimpse of a typical Gjirokastra home during Ottoman times.

Day 7 Gjirokastra-Berat
Morning drive to Berat, which is another beautiful UNESCO World Heritage site. The unique architecture has given Berat nicknames as “The White City” or “The City of a Thousand Windows”.
The old Ottoman part of the city is very picturesque where it lies on the slopes of a mountain.
We visit the fortress overlooking the city, the Onufri Museum, dedicated to the 16th-century painter Onufri, the King Mosque, the Bachelor’s Mosque and the Sufi Halveti Tekke. Overnight stay in Berat at Hotel Mangalemi or similar. (B, D)
Day 8 Berat-Tirana-Airport
After breakfast, we drive back to Tirana or the Tirana International Airport (depending on the flight schedule). (B)
